Details of Service:

George Leslie Forshaw originally attested with the 117th. On 27 August 1916 he was promoted to Corporal and later appointed to A/L Sargeant on 19 November 1916. On 06 January 1917 he was transferred to the 23 Reserve Battalion at Shoreham.

On 28 August 1917 he was discharged from the CEF in consequence on being appointed to commission in the Imperial Army. He was commissioned with the Lancastershire Fusiliers BEF and was killed in action of 19 November 1917.
