Details of service:

Lieutenant Eldon Irvine was transferred to Signals Base at Seaford on 02 Dec 1916 from the 117th battalion. Lt Irvine was transferred to the 23rd Reserve Battalion on 06 January 1917, upon disbandment of the 117th Battalion. He remained with the 23rd Reserve Battalion until 28 November 1917 when he was transferred to 1st Quebec Regimental Depot at Bramshott.

On 31 January 1918, Lt Irvine was returned to Canada for compassionate reasons. There was no mention as to what the compassionate reasons were. He was discharged from the CEF on 24 August 1918.

At the time of attestation Lt Irvine was married to Alice Hutchinson Irvine of Stanstead, Quebec. There was no mention of any children.
